About Iwai North America Inc.
A wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Iwai Chemicals, Co. Ltd (located in Japan), Iwai North America Inc., was established in 2006 as part of Iwai’s expansion into the international market. Working to bridge the divide between American and Japanese life science industries, Iwai North America provides high quality reagents and research tools from Japan to the U.S. market, while also supplying American technologies and products back to Japan.
History :
* 1947 Apr. – Iwai Chemicals Co., Ltd. is founded in Tokyo, Japan
* 2006 Oct. – Iwai North America, Inc. is established in Burlingame, California
* 2007 Sep. – Iwai USA Inc. is acquired along with all of its assets, including majority ownership of Chondrex, Inc.
* 2009 Feb. – Office relocated to Foster City, CA
* 2017 Apr. －Office relocated to current address in San Carlos, CA

Iwai Chemicals Company, Ltd. was established in 1947 in Tokyo, Japan with the aim of producing and distributing high purity reagents. For the past seventy years Iwai Chemicals has upheld 'Integrity' as the cornerstone of their management philosophy, with the understanding that only by earning customers’ trust can a business continue to innovate and grow.
Remarkable advances have been made in the study of life sciences since Iwai’s founding, especially in the fields of molecular biology, genetic engineering, and immunology.
